Fall Tutorials
First year students are invited to participate in the Fall Tutorials based on entering index (a combination of LSAT and UGPA) and other admission criteria. The tutorials consist of a one-hour weekly group session, a weekly one-on-one session with a student mentor and 4-5 large group exam writing sessions conducted by student mentors.
Academic Support faculty (Profs. Boylan, Hawthorne, or Kamita) conduct group tutorial sessions. The focus of the group sessions is on reinforcing the skills of course outlining, exam preparation and essay writing. These skills are taught using the first year substantive coursework as a base. Individual student-mentor sessions are used to review and refine the skills taught during group sessions.
First year students not invited to participate in the program may seek similar academic assistance by utilizing the Academic Counseling.
