Legal Method

Legal Method I is a mandatory 5-hour program offered during Orientation. Students are provided with instruction on briefing cases, taking effective lecture notes and working in study groups. The program is taught by the Academic Support faculty (Profs. Boylan, Hawthorne, and Kamita) and 2 other faculty members. Faculty instructors have included Susan Bakhshian, Barbara Blanco, Sande Buhai, Jan Costello and Charlotte Goldberg.

Legal Method II consists of two 3-hour sessions. The first session on course outlining is taught in September. The second session on exam preparation and essay writing is taught in October. These sessions are mandatory for students participating in the Fall Tutorials but optional for all other first year students.
