Mock Interviews

Mock interviews are an integral part of preparing for actual interviews. Career counselors are available year round to conduct mock interviews with students and alumni. The interviews are videotaped and then critiqued by the counselor. In an effort to make each interview as authentic as possible, the Office of Career Services asks each interviewee to select an employer they would like the counselor to represent; this way, the counselor can ask each interviewee more specific questions and the interviewee can go through the process of researching and preparing to interview with a specific employer. For sample interview questions, click here. Sample questions to ask an interviewer can be found in "The Interview" section of the Office of Career Services Handbook. If you are interested in signing up for a Mock Interview, please contact the Office of Career Services, and we will schedule one for you with one of our counselors.

In addition, the Career Services Office offers a Mock Interview Program each Fall. Typically, attorneys who work in large firms, small firms, government agencies and public interest organizations all volunteer to provide feedback on mock interviews which they conduct with students.  The Office of Career services strongly encourages all students to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
