Adjusting column width in a spreadsheet

There are several quick ways to adjust a column's width. You can use your mouse to drag a column to be wider or narrower. A quicker way to accomplish this same for a single column is as follows:

  • position your mouse pointer on the line between two columns
  • when you see the resize icon (looks like a +), double click your mouse; this automatically resizes the column to the width of the longest line of text in the column

If you want to resize all columns in your spreadsheet:

  • Single-click the gray box above the "1" row header and to the left of the "A" column header. This selects all cells.
  • Double click any heading border line. All the cells are automatically sized to fit.
