Using Autocorrect

Want to create your own typing shortcuts in Word? It's easy with the AutoCorrect feature. For example, if you would like to just type "dd" and have Word display defendant, or "ussc" and have it display United States Supreme Court, here's how:

From the menu bar in Word, click Tools -> AutoCorrect. Click on the AutoCorrect tab, look toward the center of the window. In the Replace column, type in the text or shortcut you would like to define (such as the "dd" or "ussc" examples above - enter your selections without quotation marks). To the right, in the With column, type in the full text you want to have automatically displayed. Create as many as needed. You'll see below those two columns a series of predefined shortcuts already programmed in Word.
