Submission Information

General Info

In Brief is an electronic newsletter of Loyola Law School. It is published weekly on Mondays to http://inBrief.lls.edu. The newsletter is for internal communications with and between students, faculty and staff of Loyola Law School. Inappropriate items will not be published.

Deadlines

The deadline for all publications is 2 p.m. the Wednesday prior to publishing. Any items received past the deadline may not be published or may be postponed until the next weekly issue.

Submissions

The newsletter contains several types of information. Please be sure that you correctly submit your information according to the type it best fits into.

Announcements

Announcements are short messages that may link to Web pages with more details. The editor determines the order in which announcements are listed.

Please keep announcement text very short. Many announcements will include a link to more information (see example). If your announcement text is longer than ten words, the editor may create a summary and link. Avoid duplication -- if you have already published Web-based information such as an event flyer and RSVP form, simply provide teaser text and a link to the information.

Campus Schedule

Campus events include special events and symposia, room reservations, open houses and so on.

Students: Fill out the Student Activity Approval Form well in advance of your event. Once the event has been approved, it is automatically added to the campus calendar and will be published in the newsletter's calendar.

Faculty and Staff: Notify either Vlasta Lebo (campuswide events) or Stan Borup (room reservations) as you have in the past. They'll take it from there.

Other: Currently, this newsletter does not publish events that are not sponsored or endorsed by the law school.

Feature Articles and Spotlights

These are special highlights that appear in some issues but not in others. If you have a suggestions for a special feature, contact Brian Costello.
