Loyola Law School Clean Access Agent

At the start of the Spring 2006 semester, ITD deployed a new process for students to connect to the wireless network through the implementation of Cisco Clean Access (CCA) agent. This software will verify that your computer meets criteria that will help ensure the overall security of the network. Upon connecting to the network, CCA will deliver software to your computer if you are running Windows ME or newer. Windows98 and Mac OS computers will be scanned by the system but will not have software downloaded.

After completing the installation, CCA will verify your overall level of critical updates from Microsoft as well as status of antivirus software updates. Systems not meeting minimum criteria will be directed to the appropriate web page for assistance. No access to the network will be granted until the system has met the minimum security criteria. The first time you access the network under CCA this process may require you to visit several web pages and to conduct multiple updates. Future visits should allow you to connect to wireless more directly since your system will be updated.
