OUTLAW -- Loyola's Gay/Straight Alliance
OUTLAW provides Loyola’s gay and lesbian law students with peer support, as well as information and professional development services. Its programs include informal social gatherings, panel discussions on issues affecting gays and lesbians, and a communications network with gay and supportive lawyers and firms, judges, and advocates. OUTLAW cooperates with other gay rights organizations in the advancement of civil liberties and law reform and frequently forms coalitions with other campus groups. The OUTLAW of Loyola was the first such organization recognized by a law school in the United States and was founded in 1972.
