Professor Susan G. Poehls, Director of Trial Advocacy Programs and William C. Hobbs Professor of Trial Advocacy.

Professor Poehls has coached the Byrne team since 1990. She is a former litigation associate with O'Melveny & Myers and conducted over 50 jury trials as a deputy public defender with the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office and the Los Angeles Alternate Public Defender's Office.
